This is what concerns me about this claim… while it may ‘feel’ cooler, I think this claimed to be due to the fingers not touching the full body of the charger, instead having air in the gaps between the ‘ribs’. But, that sounds like a physiological phenomenon, not related to the actual temperature… I mean, a grooved design will increase surface area, leading to better heat dissipation, but that’s not what RS claimed here.
It’s apparently become an issue with even the newer 100W+ Anker chargers, that they cannot sustain the advertised max output for more than 30mins / 1hr. (That is per AllThingsOnePlace’s more recent videos.)
Except that a difference of 10 degrees C is a difference of 18 degrees F, not 50 degrees F. That's a fairly basic/important thing to get wrong...
