Planning a long 2 week trip to Japan next year and - annoyingly - flights seems a lot more expensive than they were this year. Would prefer to fly direct however given the sheer cost on BA, thinking of doing the 1 stop QR via DOH (potentially in qsuites assuming no equipment swap).

JAL doesn’t seem any better than BA - both coming in around 8-9k for J, with QR closer to 6.5k, total for two. BA F seems ludicrously priced at over 13k.

As it’s quite a long trip with a layover, wondered if anyone has done this and can recommend? The price point likely made my decision already (and extra TPs won’t hurt) but thought I’d solicit some wisdom from those who might have flown this route.
