Actually, there was a restaurant inside one Quality Suites in Irvine Spectrum in CA at least, but then the restaurant closed. It was an independent restaurant, not officially a hotel restaurant.

Now that Quality Suites has turned into Comfort Suites.

The problem is that both of those, and most Choice brands, are budget brands, and budget brands are unlikely to incorporate full restaurants into the design, because it costs too much to operate them fulltime.

Gosh, even a lot of non-budget hotels which used to have lounges which were staffed for both breakfast and dinner, since Covid due to staffing shortages have eliminated staffing for dinner.

People on business trips don't typically need to stay at budget brands. If they do, they're not likely to expect full restaurants at the hotel.

Many Choice hotels these days simply offer menus from nearby restaurants, where you can order delivery to the hotel. Doesn't that more or less solve the problem, without raising hotel costs by much?
