Well the phrase "revalidate the ticket" definitely got AA to do something and the agent went ahead and did that. They told me I would get a new BA PNR emailed through - about 5 mins later I got the "Trip Confirmation" email from AA but the BA PNR has not changed and still has the same problem in BA MMB. I guess given BA's IT I'll wait until tomorrow before I assume for certain that it's still broken but not looking positive!
OK that is a step forward since SABRE owns this ticket, AA have done all they can to refresh the ticket, and it may be that everything is now OK on the BA side. I would indeed call tomorrow, ask first to get seat selection sorted, then second ask them to use their emulator to see your Flight Disruption screen. It may actually be irrelevant now, so just a data glitch, but in theory they can see your screen. Finally ask the agent to confirm the ticket number on the sector in question, it should be the 001 number you have just got from AA. If they can see that then it's just one of those things, it may well be totally ok at check-in. Use the "change booking" option, you should get a more competent agent that way.
