I had a nice, upgraded room when I stayed there in August. I think they are most of the way through the room renovations. At the Four Points right now, and would definitely take the JW over the Four Points just based on room size (It's what I could get in under my travel policy). When I last stayed at the Auckland JW, though, they were just preparing to do their lobby renovation.
