Forecasts like that in the Caribbean are usually hit or miss and when it does hit it’s usually a short downpour then done. This looks more steady though.
Never look into forecasts for the Maldives. You might have a lovely morning with sunshine, and in the afternoon it could be raining.
The thing is these are small islands, and the forecasts gives you a range of cities which will never be accurate in the Maldives. As per the forecasts, it could say it's raining, but on the island itself it's nice and sunny.
Those are my 2 cents after travelling 9 times to the Maldives (4 of which at the St. Regis).
