To make life easier for your parents would also suggest looking at QR to SGN to avoid having to go through Singapore - you won’t be able to use the companion voucher but it’s only 300k avios for two vs 220k I think on BA with the voucher.
Taxes seem a lot higher at £447 per person per direction, so around £600 total more on top of the avios - does this seem right?
