I goofed. I chose a cheap flight with 37 minutes connecting time to get from DFW to LAS for a 2 day escape in April.

if I upgrade the ticket using miles could I then change second leg of the flight?

or

Should I wait to see if AA makes a schedule change ?
or
call and hope an agent agrees that they offered me an unrealistic convection?
