I had a quick look at the ex-U.K. offers but Cathay does this stuff so poorly it may as well stop in my view. The U.K. site currently has headline offers subject to terms and conditions but those are not clearly displayed and that's where the devil is: Cathay never does just a straight discount, for example. From experience, one then needs to plug in specific flight options to see the "discounted" price which often is still uncompetitive. Price-based discounts aren't something Cathay manages or communicates well in general.
As "Black Friday" is an American cultural import in any case, I don't think it' a good fit for Cathay's British operations in any case.
Black Friday is also a big thing in the UK now but I agree about the hidden terms and conditions stuff which actually is something people are more used to in the US than in Europe.
