I have also looked at pricing using SIA between Heathrow and Singapore and found the price to be extremely high, we have found booking via the Lufthansa web site from Heathrow to Singapore via Frankfurt to be more then half the cost and still get around 12.5 hours in suites. Not sure if that helps in your situation.
