Vignette Collection Casa da Companhia (Porto)

Vignette Collection Casa da Companhia (Porto)

What is your Priority Club status?
Diamond

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
King Premium (base level room, despite the name) - booked with points, upgraded to King Suite One Bedroom - the highest level room, as far as I can tell. Given that we were staying four nights, that level of upgrade was unexpected.

How are the rooms?
The suite was wonderful - larger than my first apartment. The bedroom was open to the sitting room, which worked great for us. If we were traveling with kids on the sofa bed, there's no way to separate the space. Unfortunately, there's no door to the bathroom, so the lights are probably disruptive if your partner is still in bed, though the bed is a good distance from the bathroom on the other side of the sitting room it's still a direct shot to the bathroom. It took us some time to find the light panel for the bathroom, as it was hidden behind a lamp in the sitting room. The bathroom had a great soaking tub, a nicely sized shower, dual sinks and a WC. We were located in the "original" section of the building (there were neat historic elements to the building) - there was another building or wing connected, but we didn't explore. Reception, breakfast, the pool - all were located in our wing, so that was very convenient.

How is the exec. lounge?
n/a

What was good and what was bad?
The room was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was nice, a bit smaller than at the Vignette Collection in Lisbon. You could also order hot items a la carte and the French Toast was really special. Eggs Royale was good, avocado toast was meh. But that French Toast - wow! We also enjoyed the indoor pool and steam room and sauna. The location was pretty central.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
It was a decent points value in off season and I'd happily return.
