I picked up Macy's version of the international Maxlite 5, called the Walkabout 6, on Wednesday at their Black Friday price of $119. I went to the store to check it out and it is light but still feels substantial--not cheap or easily breakable. They have both the roll aboard and the spinner on sale. I didn't look at the Platinum Elite so I can't compare, but I was quite happy with the feel of the Walkabout.
