Last week I had the SQ equivalent of winning the lottery - a genuinely cold can of coke. I don't know how it did it but somehow it managed to have avoided the constant grabbing from guests, being pushed forward by the staff and stayed trapped in a corner or something and spent more than the standard five minutes in the fridge. The so called flagship lounge, they can't even serve cold drinks - I've said it before, like any major sport/event venue they should have a fridge out the back where drinks are kept cool and then moved to the small self-serve fridge when required, it's really not that hard but just shows lack of planning/thought/cost cutting...$50 million SGD.........
As for lack of seating, yes the new lounge has nearly 100 more seats, which is great in theory... however between March 2024 and March 2025 SQ have added 2 x A350LH and 4 x 787-10's which is another 150+ J seats..
Anyways, I'll fight my way in the lounge several times in the next few weeks, luckily a few early morning flights where a seat is almost guaranteed.....
