Thanks. Does anyone know what the coding on the BP would be? It's an Avios booking and we are all boarding as Group 2 but I have Y2 in my barcode and the others have N8. If we did not all have Group 2, I would assume that was a Y/N to fast track + a number for the boarding group, but that can't be right as we are all showing on the BP as group 2.
Any strings of letters and numbers that you may have observed are a coincidence.
The barcodes of everyone other than you will be rejected by the automatic gates at Fastrack. The agent at the manual check when scanning these will be presented with a screen saying that the person isn't eligible to use Fastrack and invited to scan their purchased Fastrack pass or select some other reason why they should be allowed through. "Guest of BA Gold/Silver" is one of the options, and presumably results in some sort of charge back to BA for the use of the facility.
If you wish to take more than your allowed one guest through Fastrack, please purchase Fastrack for them via the Heathrow website for £12.50pp.
