I've just been through this and would echo previous advice to go on the waiting list. My request was for a flight for two people in September 2025 and I was guided that it would probably be February/March before availability opened up but "it could be sooner". I received a call back this moring from Aegean advising that my waitlist reservations had cleared and I have now received confirmation emails for the reservations. So two days from start to finish. Flights in question ATH - MLO x 2.
