ANA Crown Plaza Fukuoka
What is your Priority Club status?
diamond ambassador
Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Two separate bookings. Booked a standard room with cash and then a week before my trip I booked a 2 single bed room on the club floor due to the hotel
being nearly sold out. I was upgraded to the 2 single bed room on club floor on my first night so no need to checkout and change rooms.
How are the rooms?
Very happy with my room. Just enough space for two people but no more. Maybe I haven’t slept in a single bed in a long time but it was long enough for me (193cm) but I obviously couldn’t move around well. Cappuccino machine, 2 waters, ironing board, work desk, and lots of outlets for charging. Bathroom was small but efficient.
How is the exec. lounge?
Tea time was ok so I would not return to the hotel just for this. Just 4-5 selection of sweets and some non alcoholic beverage in the fridge.
Evening drinks were decent with some options for simple man made drinks. I wouldn’t return to the hotel for some basic wines even though I had three glasses of reds ooops
What was good and what was bad?
Good:
Seems like lounge access for the non premium rooms was only 4,000 yen over the standard rooms. You could definitely break even after a couple of drinks if you were a party of two.
Very well located to Hakata.
Breakfast starts at 6am in the restaurant.
Great status recognition through the email, front desk staff, and choice of speciality coffee at breakfast for plats/diamonds
Umbrellas provided for guests
I was given the welcome amenity points even though I went with breakfast. I was also told I’ll be given 10,000 points due to not being upgraded on my second night.
bad:
Central a/c which I can imagine being bad in the summer
no view even though I was on their 2nd highest floor
Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Of course! If rates were to stay between 9-11,000 yen a night. Hotel rates seem quite high in Fukuoka but maybe because of the sumo tourney ending and autumn season
