No they don’t. The requirement that members of a household account reside at the same address was removed in 2020.
Members of a household account share Avios; persons on the friends and family list do not.
If you set up a household account you can only redeem Avios for the other members of your household account and for those persons on your friends and family list. When you redeem Avios in a household account Avios is pulled from each member of the household account.

Thanks for the reply. My main use for BA Avios is to redeem award flights via point transfer for myself and my wife/children. From your description, it will not make much difference since my family members will not be flying much points earning flights so the pooling feature is not useful for my use model.
