Hi mrpacifist, being based in Turks & Caicos I have taken 100+ flights with interCaribbean over the past 10 years, so hopefully can help moderate what you've read.

On this point I'd have no concerns, they seem to have a significant maintenance operation in Providenciales, and their aircraft appear to be adequately maintained for their age. I'm only aware of one reported incident quite a few years back with a landing gear issue at PLS which the pilots handled with no passenger injuries and relatively minor aircraft damage.

With regard to flight operations they have been aggressively expanding throughout the region for several years and I think at times this has been to the detriment of their on time performance. I have experienced delays and communication issues more typical to the region than specifically the airline. I have also been diverted due to weather (passing Hurricane) but was accommodated in the expected way and, again felt that safety was the priority.

In summary on over the 100+ flights I'd say I'd experienced maybe 5% with delays over an hour, however always got where I needed to be within a reasonable timeframe.
