question, if i keep checking periodically and they are still available en route to the airport will i be offered a last min upgrade at check in because i had a failed bid or is everyone offered those 4 seats. I have zero status. Is it best to ask at check in? At the gate? Once boarded and the doors are closed? Only fly once a year up to now, retirement looms so will be increasing flights and never upgraded before. Currently in economy and received the e mail telling me i was eligible to bid for upgrade. It’s all new to me…Thanks in advance for any help.
Flight shows J 4 so there are still 4 J seats they are willing to sell. Try OLCI at T-24 and you will know if you have been offered a LMU. Beyond that I don't think there's much you can do, and no, there is no opportunity to UG once boarding is complete and the doors are closed. There is no process to do that and I'm quite sure at that point the J cabin will be full with all the people who were in PY who used their e-Ups or people like you who were offered a LMU and took it at check-in...those 4 J seats will evaporate quite quickly.
