Can you tell me about Plata status? I've just registered for IberiaPlus so my account is currently empty. Does it make any sense to buy credits now, or your advice is mostly about taking the flight now and getting Plata status in the future, which I can use for benefits later on.

There is a promotion where IB+ members earn double Elite Points for flights booked now, but flown until a certain date next year. (I can't remember either date offhand)

You might reach Plata status after your last flight, depending on your dates of travel. Your best bet is to check out the Iberia Plus website for details. You don't ever "buy credits".

Premium Economy is definitely better than buying an XL Economy seat. The short flight intra-Europa isn't worth paying seat selection for.
