If you accrue the correct number of qpoints at any point during a rolling 12 month period, irrespective of your curent tier expiry date, you will be upgraded on the day you cross the threshold and your membership expiry will reset to 12 months from that date.
So it appears you may have some qpoints expiring for tier upgrade purposes on 19 Jan. You could still upgrade to gold on your next flight after then though, it depends how many qpoints you will have earned in the 12 months immediately prior to and including that next flight.
The required upgrade numbers you see on your dashboard can change daily as 12+ month old qpoints drop off and new ones accrue.
Thank you so much for the insight. Yes, indeed I have Q points due to expire on the 19th January, however my flights on 9th January would see me upgrade to gold that day, hence before they expire.
If possible, I'd love if the flights on 9th January could be counted in the next membership year as that, in addition to other plans for next year would ensure that I re-qualify for gold in the following year. Seems this would indeed be the case if I purchase the 2 qpoints required and upgrade to gold at some stage between now and 8 January.
Thanks again
