Had a pretty nice stay, thought I would give some thoughts and also provide some updated photos of breakfast for the lounge and restaurant and a few shots of the deluxe room.
  • Prices stayed in the 2300HKD per night range from the time I started looking until the day of arrival. The Centric was in the 1700HKD range and the GH was in the 2400HKG range. I happily applied a couple of cat 1-4 certs for two nights and used 15K of points for my third night. I would have preferred to be at the GH but this was a good deal to me.
  • Arrived via Uber and it was about 279HKD. I took the MRT and Airport Express on the way back. This place is near to Nathan Rd, TST MRT and TST East MRT stations. Not that there was not elevator at the nearest TST MRT station so you will be going up or down a flew flights of steps. Not a big deal to me as I have the strength of ten men. I actually think the bus is the best option but on my arrival day the busses were ram packed and I was exhausted so I opted for an Uber. If you are a part of two people, in my opinion, your choice is bus or Taxi/Uber. The AE starts to make less sense at that point, in my experience anyways.
  • When I arrived, I went to the World of Hyatt checkin line, was rather rudely told the checkin line was over there. They have a line sectioned off for checkin. I then asked for lounge checkin and a checkin minder escorted me up to the lounge on the 23rd floor. I thought it was rude but then remembered where I was at. The lady that checked me in was very nice and told me that I could take breakfast in the lounge or restaurant, I think that is just for Globalists? I saw a lot of people in the lounge for breakfast so assume if you are not Globalist in a club room you have only the option of the lounge?
  • Suites did not look at that great to me so I didnt even try to use a SUA. I got a deluxe room on the 14th floor that is facing the harbor but just a little too low to actually get a really good view. Still, a solid view in my opinion. I actually found this room to be very spacious by HK standards and really happy with the space. Nice bathroom as well.
  • I was really tired the first night so elected to go to the lounge and just grab a couple of drinks and a snack. I thought I was being slick by getting there at 5.25 but the place was pretty full already. I found the offering to be good, I would call it a heavy salad bar option with a couple of hot options. The wine turned my tongue purple so I had no desire to return. For that reason and the business, just dont like busy lounges.
  • I had breakfast in the lounge the first couple of mornings and it is a nice place and the breakfast is good for a lounge. It was fine for me. The last day I decided to try out the restaurant and it was a very nice space and full of some great choices. I got there at like 6.35 and by 7.20 when I left it was already really busy.
  • I found this to be a very nice hotel and a great option in TST. This area can be an absolute zoon but the hotel is in a relatively quiet area despite only being like a block or two from Nathan Rd. I would return and definitely recommend.
  • I dined at the Chin Chin bar one evening, pretty empty but service was pretty slow. Not sure I got any discount in the "up to 40%" deal. I should have asked but forgot. Nice space with some outdoor space but think the one or two tables outside got worse service than me. So, would not return.
