The other major complaint has been that the TPE lounges are not quite up to the standards of a 5-star hub lounge complex. Happy to say, personally, that the recent upgrades have given the J-class lounges a veneer of competitiveness, at least given the available space. The new TPE terminal can't come soon enough (assuming BR gets new lounges and gates there).

Maybe competition from JX is providing a much-needed impetus for BR to stop resting on its laurels (pun intended) and be more competitive.
