Thumbs up Survey of the hotel (NOV 2024) introduction + map

For those of us in the festive spriti: "Happy thanksgiving!"
And for those of us who are slaves to their passions: " Happy Black Friday & Cyber Monday!"

Inspired by daruda 's stay at the HI Resort Canggu, i decided to come on over from IC Bali Jimbaran Resort to have a personal look and feel of the hotel and to survey if it could be a good alternative base if we return to Bali and decide to stay a bit closer to the "action". Don't get me wrong, i'm a big fan of Jimbaran, but *cough* cough* i've got kids in the young adult range that appreciate Jimbaran but do find it pensionado snooze city where its seafood or lights out at 22.00 H as everyone usually is passed out from a seafood induced coma.

For this opportunity i've let the concierge of IC Bali Jimbaran inform the HI Resort Canggu that we were planning to visit on a specific day.
All went well because after an approx 1,5 H drive by our chauffeur, traffic was doable, because we left Jimbaran at 09.00 morning, we were warmly welcomed by the bell captain and laterF&B manager of the HI Resort Canggu. Disclaimer: i've stayed in Canggu before at the Tugu hotel prepandemic https://tuguhotels.com/hotels/bali/ so i already knew a bit of the direct neighbourhood. It has changed.... a lot! I've seen more coffeeshops than a certain Seattle conglomo in its hometown!

I'm not affiliated in anyway but the videos of Joose the Nomad, show the clièntele with a certain mindset nowadays roaming in Canggu.
And with that vent out if the way, we continue to more important matters of the flesh:

Upgrade Chain at HI Bali Resort Canggu:
KING / TWIN Standard >
KING / TWIN Gardenview >
KING / TWIN Top Floor >
KING / TWIN Ocean view >
KING / TWIN Ocean view Top Floor>
1 Bedroom Suite Ocean view > MAX

Award rooms boom into "KING / TWIN Standard"

--------
A special class of rooms are devoted to families staying with kids (max occupancy 5 of which 2 are sleeping in bunkbeds)
1 bedroom Kids suite >
1 bedroom Kids suite garden view >
1 bedroom Kids suite ocean view > MAX
-----------

So what's the big deal about:
Standard > Garden View > Topfloor > Ocean view > Ocean view Topfloor

How the hotel is located and about the location of which type on the floors can be shown below. For all maps shown:
Top: North - view on the neighbouring hotel's pool and villas
Bottom: South - will capture a lot of sunlight - ocean view
Left: West - sunset but also views of the building next door (Regent Canggu)
Right East - sunrise - direct view on Canggu's main road : Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong
Spoiler

And with that overload of information brought to you by the Underworld Corp,
let's go and have a look at the premises + facilities.
Spoiler

Had a look at the kids club but no photos as there was a whole stampede ruckus in there.
However i did manage to get some photos of the gym on level 2 .
Spoiler

Spa ?
The hotel has no designated spa, yet one can book via receptions for inroom treatments.
Or enjoy a treatment on the pooldeck on the pooldeck on level 5.
Have asked, can be put on hotelfolio and earns EQP.
Spoiler

Restaurant Roomah
This is the hotel's main restaurant for all day dining.
Located on level G. One must walk through the westwing to reach it.
Spoiler

Pool on the topfloor level 5
daruda has already shown you some excellent photos, i'll just add my own visuals and the rootop pool's menu.
Spoiler

And that concludes my introduction to this hotel.
Next up are two room types we were able to view.
