BA1422 LHR/BHD cancelled at less than one hour's notice, earlier this evening. I'm not a happy camper as that's the second BHD/LHR/BHD cancellation to hit me in 3 days. Outbound required a detour via BHX and Avis. Inbound requires a 12 hour delay, overnight at the Sofitel and cancellation of my first appointment tomorrow in BHD. Outbound was at least remediated by a competent chap on the GGL phone line. But the 2 agents who answered GGL for the inbound were clearly not trained/experienced. Neither seemed to understand or be able to locate BA's cancellation/rebooking policy, both made assertions as to the airlines on which they can rebook which are inconsistent with that BA published cancellation policy, and neither seemed to have much command of UK geography. (These were UK-based staff.) Eventually staff in the CCR, who could overhear the call, took over in-person and did the best they could. But GGL phone line service was pretty poor. Are other agents currently working on the GGL temporarily? Can anyone offer any insight please?
