At one time it was and for me the The Ali'i tower was the thing, Great Breakfast at Tropics, evening wine and snacks.
A great hotub (no longer available). IMO the location is still the best beach access with a short walk to town.
I'm still trying to find out the official word as to why the powers to be have let the best part of HHV go.
