I have tried going onto the combine Avios page through both the Iberia and BA sites but get errors through both. The Iberia site says I don't meet their conditions - the account was opened more than 90 days ago but admittedly I haven't "earned" any Avios on that account, which I understand is a prerequisite to combining Avios with them.

Is there a workaround to this earning requirement? I received 5000 Avios as compensation for no meal on an Iberia flight, which is an acceptable resolution to me in principle. But they posted it to my Iberia account which I don't really use for anything, so the Avios are of no use to me unless I can transfer them to my BA account.

I tried transferring in Avios using Amex MR points but they say that they don't support 9 digit Iberia account numbers...
