Do Marriott General Promo's (GP) start January 1st? When does Marriott announce it's GP's for 2025-Jan/Feb/Mar/April ? Any guesses it the GP will be a) per Stay b) per Night c) something else?
Double Nights promo:
in 2024, it started later February and i think it was announced at beginning of February
in 2025, any thoughts on if this type of promo will appear again in February to April 30th ?
For example, if we know Double Nights promo will occur again in Feb 2025, then use Bonvoy points in January to mid Feb and spend cash during the Double Nights OR stay at other hotel brands until Double Nights promo appears or not by late Feb.
Unfortunately, Marriott does not carry-over (rollover) nights above the status level attained this year - must requalify. So, just high-level planning on when to stay 75 nights in 2025
The Marriott's double night promo worked well for me this year. I had several business trips plus one personal trip that got me close to the 50 nights for platinum status by time the promo was over in April. With my two remaining business trips in September, I hit the 50 nights. I look forward to them having it again in 2025.
