I think you have found out all you need to know about this, since it's clearly in scope for EC261. See the main EC261 thread for next steps, but actually I doubt BA will challenge your claim. The aircraft concerned, G-EUYN, then spent 36 hours in CPH, returned home without passengers yesterday evening and has no flights planned until tomorrow morning, which suggests a technical fault still be worked on or under test.
