I just finished up a 4 night stay here about 1.5 weeks ago. I liked the hotel, staff was very friendly. I had a standard king, which was a nice size. I thought the breakfast was terrific. Lots of South African fare, but also plenty of more traditional western food.

There was an overt security presence outside the hotel entrance, always at least 2 security guards with bright yellow vests. But there were lots of people walking in all directions near (and not so near) the hotel during the day. I did a tremendous amount of walking during the day and never felt threatened. I walked down to the waterfront and beyond. I did not walk at night. Uber is cheap.

The club lounge was a major disappointment. Very little selection of food or drink, available from 5-7 pm. Still, overall, I would definitely stay here again. tls
