Im currently here and wouldn’t recommend it if someone has never been here, and wanted to make a special trip out here. Maybe one night to do road to Hana and not to take the drive back.

Its a one and done for us; we are in their premium ocean bungalow with AC and doing a week long stay; but can’t imagine being here without AC as the afternoons are getting pretty hot, even during winter season.

Service is okay; some hit and miss. We have an awesome bellmen who took care of us; but they are over worked for the amount of visitor.

Food is fair to good; the best dish is the sautéed shrimp, and beats any Oahu Shrimp Trucks….breakfast is meh.

Rooms are a blast from the past….reminds me of a slightly better version of the government Volcano National Park lodges with the same browns….definitely agree with the slightly spruced up summer camp feel, but not luxury.
