Comment: A decent option amidst the relative wasteland of LA hotels. Room was small but stylish and comfortable. Target demographic seems to be tech bros and fashionistas but staff were still mostly pleasant despite our clearly falling well outside the target. Breakfast was excellent. $80 didn't quite cover it. Great lunch at Calabra on the roof. The rooftop bar/restaurant/pool/lounge is clearly the star of the show here, and it is extraordinarily appealing. Got some attitude from the hostess but Calabra staff were otherwise lovely. Front desk staff were pretty bad. They messed up my bill by charging a destination fee that was supposed to be waived as service recovery, but much to my suprise the stay credited to Marriott (should not have, since not booked through Marriott), so I'm going to let it slide. Note there's a bunch of construction in the immediate area, and it was pretty loud during the day.
