They should just make an announcement that, while they are unlocking the doors, if your door is closed they will not be able to serve you. So if you want to go to sleep, close the door. If you want food, leave it open. Like a "Do Not Disturb" sign.
I agree with you.
I was just pointing out that some other airlines do not have the policy of blocking the door in open mode until they fully finish the main meal. I only know QR and BA, not flown other airlines with doors.
I expect that AF staff will come to do like other airlines and let you close the door if you don't wish to be disturbed.

BTW opening the door from the aisle only takes a few seconds, there is no unlocking to do. The door is only locked, by the crew, in open mode
