No, you will not be offered a drink when you are seated. Once you are airborne, everyone in Y will be offered a drink at the same time. On an international flight, everyone in Y gets complimentary soft drinks, wine, and beer. Perhaps your seat also gets free liquor? I think it is just poor IT on AA’s part. On domestic flights, Main Cabin Extra seats
do get you free beer and wine, unlike the rest of economy. I
think that is what is happening here - AA’s IT is still using that verbiage to sell MCE seats, even though drinks are included by virtue of it being an international flight.
