Personally, I can definitely see the pro and con arguments of removing BR... But I think the bad PR from an already anti-AC media will outweight any pros. The policy should have simply been changed to lowest available fare or 75% off lattitude, whichever is lower. Boom, one sentence solves the problem. The policy change won't hurt anyone (in fact, you can spin it into something reeeally positive) and you won't lose any goodwill.
