I understand what you are saying, but if AC truly cared about their 'elite' customers they could make it happen. I realize this affects very few flights in the AC schedule, but for those in this forum to state they never take this flight from YYZ to YVR for this reason is very telling.
I don't know how Amadeus handles e ups or how/if it integrates with the e up system. In my experience system modifications which can benefit more than 1 customer are often shared between customers or 'discounted' to the requesting customer (i.e. they do not pay 100% of the development costs). Surely AC can't be the only customer in this situation. Due to the limited number of flights affected I can accept its not a priority for AC but not the other limitations.
