2. HKG-NRT-LAX-SFO in JL PY for 50 k,
both while NRT(-LAX)-SFO showed no results.
I successfully redeemed the HKG-NRT-LAX-SFO itinerary for 50 k in Y-PY-Y with a 1 d 2 hr layover in NRT, "successful" in the sense that an etk# was generated. So not a phantom.
Also, the itinerary must either be HKG-NRT-LAX-SFO or HKG-NRT-SFO-LAX, but not HKG-NRT-LAX nor HKG-NRT-SFO, meaning the itinerary must be constructed as AAA-NRT-LAX-BBB.
Have you double checked whether these results are the same on AA? Especially the requirement for a domestic segment. I did not think JAL could require marrying to partner segments, so it may be AS requiring a segment on AS and perhaps the domestic segment is not needed on AA?
