Reject AF increase?

I just received notification on my latest statement that my annual fee will be increasing in 2025, albeit not until June when my card member anniversary date hits. I found the notice (see below) a bit interesting, as it allows you to reject the changes. If I do, I won't be able to make "new transactions" on my account. But I wonder, could I (and my AUs) still access the Admirals Club? And would my AF stay at the old rate? I can't image this would work, but I figure it couldn't hurt to ask if anyone's tried anything similar.

I've been fortunate in not having the AF increase hit my account until next year. Plus I get a $145 Citigold relationship credit, which has kept my AF at effectively $350, which is an absolute steal for AC access for myself and family. But at $770 it's a bit much.
