The usual service flow — hot towel, drink of choice (champs in a wine glass) with semi-warm nuts, app/salad, one pass of bread with app/salad, main, dessert.

Salmon app was a little hard and not very flavorful but the beet accompaniment was quite good, as was the salad. Pretzel roll was yummy but remains shrunken compared to the Polaris heyday. Alas, no garlic bread.

Main was very flavorful and all the components were good. Sadly, however, the portion size of the fish was tiny (see second photo with dessert spoon for scale). Literally three bites.

Dessert cake was delish. Prefer whipped cream to clotted but this being ex-LHR, clotted it was.

Had a bag of chips mid flight — wasn’t much else on offer.

The pre-arrival cheeseburger Wellington remains a fave despite packaged cookie. Service was very rushed. Got the dish at about 48 mins to landing and at T-42, captain announced expected turbulence and asked crew to wrap it up early. I had asked for the cabernet sauvignon to go with the burger and got sauvignon blanc, but didn't matter as I only had a sip or two before they had to collect everything.

Did the crack culinary team finally realize that their crinkle cut fries were disgusting on board?

Curious if the chips (crisps?) were on the menu, or if it was a catering substitution?
