Non-US citizen or resident.

Did my renewal in 2022. Conditionally approved, did an arrival interview at MSP, together with my girlfriend, for her it was the initial approval, not a renewal.
Everything was fine.
Been to the US several times this year alone, using GE every time except once when I was traveling with a friend who didn't have it.
Suddenly in October I receive an email that my GE status has changed - I go to the website and see it has expired.
Called them and, sure enough, they confirmed my suspicoin that back in 2022, the agent didn't process my renewal correctly, I guess he got distracted by my girlfriend () and then forgot to process me.

Since it was expired, all I could do was send in a new application.
New application sent in on Nov 2, today (Nov 25) I got the approval. So 23 days.

The status now says "Approved" in the system - does that mean I don't have to do a new interview at all?
The agent I spoke to on the phone said I would have to do a new interview, but that I could do that online, I wouldn't even have to do it on arrival (very useful, as I will be having a short connection the next time I'm going to the US).
