I finally tried this at EWR this past week. Worked flawlessly. I flashed my BP, they took my photo and he waived me through. All in about 5 seconds. Only one person ahead of me in the line. Granted, Clear was actually also 'clear' at this point but I wanted to try the new tech since my picture is being taken it seems regardless of which route I take through TSA.

The entrance is to the right of the Clear Pre-Check and TSA Pre-Check lanes. You stay to the right of the pillar, walk towards the wall and then double back. It's a split lane between Touchless ID and Star Gold Track. Just follow the correct path and you won't have a long walk. I can't comment on where it used to be but this seemed quite a bit closer than previous posts I read about the setup at EWR.
