What they'd really rather is you buy another ticket for DFW-YYZ.
I called and sincerely requested them to help remove the YYZ-EWR segment as it would require unnecessary travel to Canada for us and the kind agent spoke to her supervisor and made an exception by removing the first leg of the flight. 😎
