I eat in the Flagship lounge rather than on board. The meal service has declined so much on domestic flights. The menu hasn't changed in the longest time....more than a year. Does anyone remember when the meals in first/business on AA changed every month? Warm muffins, bagels, biscuits for breakfast to go with a pretty good egg dish. That's what the basket was used for passed among first/business passengers.

As for the snack basket, what a joke to begin with. Who wants to eat chips or cookies at 6am? But to the author's point, I have noticed no more snack basket too on short flights. Not even the Nature's Bakery fig bars.
