So we know that the Quality brand by Choice Hotels is a conversion brand, designed to take over hotels that are not meeting standards. However, the brand Quality Inn, the brand Quality Suites, and the brand Quality Hotel are sort of different in their own way.

It's not uncommon to see an older-style Hampton Inn, Fairfield Inn, or Holiday Inn Express to carry the Quality Inn name. It's also not uncommon for a Sleep Inn or Comfort Inn to get downgraded to Quality Inn if the owner's intention is to still be part of Choice Hotels.

Quality Suites...I don't know what kind of hotel would ever carry the Quality Suites name if it used to be something else. Same thing with Quality Hotel.
