Again, I wasn’t referring to domestic flights. My initial comment in this thread was about a two-hour "business" class flight on AA from Belize to Miami, where the only offering was the ridiculous snack basket. Despite how AA and other carriers may classify it for cost-cutting purposes, Belize to the U.S. is still an international route. And if European carriers can serve a meal on an hour flight, there is no excuse for AA and other carriers not doing the same for flights of 2 hours.

What I didn’t mention earlier is that the flight was delayed over 1.5 hours due to a technical issue. For those familiar with Belize, the airport lacks a lounge and has very limited food options. In such circumstances, even something as simple as a hot sandwich on board in business would have been greatly appreciated.
