As I posted upthread, IME they'll make you anything you want, regardless of whether it's on the menu, assuming that they have the ingredients in the kitchen. I agree that if you asked for an off-menu item and they refused, that would definitely be a decline in standards.

I stayed for a week in October and another week in November and didn't observe any decline. What did you notice as a decline of standards? What did I miss?
