Thanks. I think my trip is around 6 weeks too late, which is why I had to move my trip about. Although to be fair, this now means I take in the S.Senses and I have a extra day in Mumbai, Udaipur (no IHG) and Jaipur. Will be an interesting trip.

I have a feeling WiseOne that it was you who posted in the IC Chennai thread mentioning about the renovation. And I should say thanks for that, it was a good steer to understand that and go with an expectation and some questions. And now with solid knowledge about what will come.
100% do not shelve the SE India trip but to delay it might work even better for you, especially if you have some status. .... it was a first for me and an eye opener on every level. Oh and I should say, if you are an RA, you will get treated like REAL royalty at the IC. And if you are a Diamond, you will get excellent service at the CP .... real service and attention not just a hollow title.
We are already planning a return to see IC Chennai post renovation. The only question is a. do we wait until the new halfway house IC opening or go anyway to see the reveal. and b. will I have enough BA miles to get business seats and go, what the hell, we'll go back for a lazy new hotel stay rather than a tour :-)
