Since I was in absolutely no hurry, I used the A12 bus to get to North Point.
Public transportation is awful in Houston, so it’s a treat to go somewhere with great system like Hong Kong. Hong Kong airport buses are fantastic with comfortable seating and a large luggage rack. The flat fare between Hong Kong Island and the airport is $47 HKD (or $6 USD) which is a bargain compared to $350ish HKD taxi fare. Besides, it’s kinda fun to go from Emirates First Class to a public bus!
Less than an hour later, I hopped out at the North Point stop and Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong was a minute walk away 5 minutes away.
Just like my visit in January, I got a Globalist upgrade to a Harbour View Deluxe room. It’s on the small side but nicely appointed.
I loved the views of the harbour and Kowloon.
My Hyatt Concierge sent a message to the hotel that we were celebrating our wedding, but something might have gotten lost in translation. Regardless, the cake was delicious.
The hotel has a Club, but it’s not open for breakfast. So Globalists and Club guests get breakfast in the restaurant, The Farmhouse.
The buffet has a fantastic selection of hot items, that included western, Chinese, and Indian options.
I especially loved the noodle and congee stations.
The cold bar features salads, cold cuts, smoked salmon, yoghurt, and fruit.

I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel every day as there are plenty of better nearby options, but I enjoyed it when I did.
Over the years, I’ve stayed in a lot of chain hotels in Hong Kong from the Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency Tsim Sha Shui, the former Intercontinental, Conrad, JW Marriott, etc. The Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong is my new favorite and go to property in Hong Kong. Globalist recognition and service are great. The hotel is clean and comfortable, though on the small side. And the location is absolutely perfect for everything I do in Hong Kong.
I also need give World of Hyatt some props. Between my family and Texas friends, we had 6 rooms at the Hyatt Centric. Thanks to a combination of Guest of Honor and Club Access awards, I was able share my elite benefits and make their stays a lot better. For the last 15 years, I’ve held top tier status with nearly every major chain (Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and SPG once upon a time). I even have lifetime Titanium Elite with Marriott, and yet I don’t stay at Marriott properties unless I have to. I’m glad I status matched with Hyatt over a decade ago and maintained Diamond/Globalist since as none of the other chains have treated me nearly as well as Hyatt does.
