Anywhere near the Plaka is great for food. I stayed in a great hotel with a view of the Parthenon. The best bit though was the widebody back 👌 🤣
As an Athenian, i will object and send you and everyone else 1 to 3 klm radius away from Plaka to avoid the tourist packed places and experience what most of the Athenians do.
Keramikos, Kolonos,Neos Kosmos, Petralona, Kalithea,Nea Smyrni for the short distance and then a bit further like 20' or so drive down to the seadise, SW, South and SEast.
