- 45K for AKL-HNL and 25K for HNL-SFO.
- Miles upgrades have to be confirmed over the phone (may be possible with chat, but that would be too complicated for me). I booked the trip and then called HA reservations.
Just an FYI. I have read a few negative comments about HA's offshore (Philippines) call center and agents. My three interactions have all been stellar. I was a little nervous about a reservation agent processing a mileage upgrade, but she was a pro. In all three calls, their English was very clear, albeit with a slight accent.
My only regret is I wish my flights were on a 787-9 instead of an A330, but I'll live.
